In a promotion more akin to a Hollywood premier or rock tour, Savvis' introduction of four new state-of-the-art data centers this autumn, will be accompanied by a four-city Data Center Expansion Tour. First on the schedule is Atlanta, Georgia, followed by Piscataway, New Jersey (Oct.11), Santa Clara, California (Oct. 18) before finally touching down in Sterling, Virgina. (Oct. 23).
The new centers will add 180,000 square feet of space to the company's data center capacity. The investment has been driven by the growing interest in the data center as the platform driving Web 2.0 and software as a service (SaaS).
