Santiago Tenorio has left his role as network architecture director at Vodafone Group.
Tenorio updated his LinkedIn profile to note that he left the UK carrier this month, having worked there since 1999.
Since departing, Tenorio has been linked with a move to US carrier Verizon. TelecomTV has reported that he will join the company as CTO.
The publication reports that staff at Verizon were informed of the appointment last week. DCD has contacted Tenorio, Verizon and Vodafone, which has yet to announce Tenorio's departure, for comment.
Tenorio's role at Vodafone has seen him work across the UK, Ireland, and Spain. He has previously been head of networks in Ireland and then in the UK, and has been head of radio network product.
Until earlier this month, Tenorio was also chairman of the board for the Telecom Infra Project (TIP), a role he held for more than four years.
He spent nearly seven years in total at TIP, an organization that is focused on developing collaboration between the mobile industry when it comes to deploying network infrastructure.
