ViaWest, a provider of Adaptable colocation and managed hosting solutions provider ViaWest, has unveiled its expansion presence in Salt Lake City. The company has acquired a third new 10,000 square foot Tier 1 data center that nearly doubles its service capacity in Utah.
The company has three Utah data centers, and continues to see an increase in demand among businesses in Salt Lake City for its managed hosting and colocation services. The expansion of a new data center allows the company to extend its services in Utah and meet the growing demand with another Tier 1 data center. It will be expanding its entire data center capacity by more than 60 percent in 2007, with a large percentage of the expansion efforts taking place in Salt Lake City.
Roy Dimoff, CEO and co-founder, ViaWest commented: "The addition of the new Tier 1 data center in Salt Lake City reflects our continued effort to make investments in state-of-the-art data centers that provide the highest levels of managed hosting and colocation services. The new ViaWest data center is located in the Cottonwood Heights area in the Old Mill Office Park. "We are very pleased to have ViaWest as a new tenant and premiere data center operator in our office park, remarks Steven Hopkins, president of Beckstrand and Associates.
