Russo Development has bought a 71 acre land parcel in Somerset County, New Jersey and produced a rendering of its planned data center. 

The proposed site will be a data center development known as Somerset Technology Park located near Exit 12 off Interstate I-287 among a cluster of data center properties in the central part of the State less than thirty-five miles from midtown Manhattan.  The project is currently in the entitlement phase with site work commencing in Q2 2011 and delivery of the first facilty scheduled for the second half of 2012.



The property is a greenfield site that can yield over 1.3 million sq ft of developable area in multiple facilities with utility capacity in excess of 100MW from multiple 69kV feeds. The Park is also within half a mile of two large water plants providing unparalleled capacity and reliability for a chilled water solution, said Russo.

This is the company's 9th data center development in the past ten years which includes facilities for Credit Suisse, NYSE Euronext, JP Morgan Chase, and Sungard Availability Services.
