ER-Telecom has upped its stake in Akado Telecom after taking sole ownership of the 75 percent-minus-one-share it previously held jointly with Rostec.

CNews reports that representatives of ER and state-owned Rostec confirmed the ownership change.

The financial terms of the buyout of Rostec shares in Akado were not disclosed.

It comes a year after fixed broadband provider ER-Telecom and Rostec acquired 75 percent minus one share of Akado.

The financial terms of that deal were also not revealed, but a joint venture known as "M-com" was created, in which "Er-telecom" owned 74.9 percent and Rostec 25.1 percent.

According to CNews, Akado has a debt of 13 billion rubles ($185 million), with the real value of the company estimated to be 5 billion rubles ($71.5m). The publication adds that Rostec's share is estimated to be worth around 930 million rubles ($13.3m).

Akado was founded in the 1990s and was initially known as Komkor, with the company constructing a fiber-optic network in the country's capital city Moscow. The firm also provides cable television and Internet access services for private subscribers.
