Rightfiber has finalized its acquisition of Fastwyre Broadband's Nebraska operations.
The deal, which was first announced back in May, adds Fastwyre's Nebraska operations to Rightfiber's US broadband footprint.
Completion of the deal comes weeks after Rightfiber was formed by parent company Grain Management, after Grain finalized its strategic combination of fiber providers Ritter Communications and Great Plains Communications to form Rightfiber.
Following the merger of the two, Rightfiber has entered into a $1.6 billion credit facility led by Fifth Third Bank to fund continued organic growth as well as potential M&A.
Following the deal, Rightfiber has expanded its customer footprint to 20 states with more than 28,000 route miles of fiber, enabling over 300,000 Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) passings.
The company has already started integrating Fastwyre's Nebraska operations, noting that customers "will receive ongoing communications throughout the transition, including information about products, services, billing, and future enhancements."
"Nebraska has been an important part of our story for more than 115 years, and completing this acquisition reinforces our long-term commitment to the communities we serve across the state," said Todd Foje, executive chairman, Rightfiber. "We're excited to build on that legacy by strengthening our relationships across Nebraska and continuing to support the people, businesses and communities that have been the foundation of our success for generations."
The acquisition includes Fastwyre's Nebraska operations serving the communities of Arlington, Bassett, Belden, Bellevue, Blair, Carroll, Emerson, Fort Calhoun, Fremont, Herman, Homer, Kennard, Laurel, Lyons, Macy, Meadow Grove, Newport, Oakland, Osmond, Pender, Rosalie, Tekamah, Thurston, Walthill, Wayne and Winnebago.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
