The chart shows the Relative Importance of Technological Categories and estimates the relative proportion of budget spent on different categories of technology/solution. Note that these proportions are best estimates and have been compiled to show overall trends - the 2009 research has been designed to provide more granular information at this level.
The data indicates that a growing proportion of overall budget is being spent on 'whole of datacenter' solutions (e.g. relocation, accreditation) - this is consistent with the emerging holistic view of the datacenter. Cooling solutions and technologies are the other major area of increase between 2007 and 2008. Most other areas of technology maintain their position.
