Rakuten Symphony partnered with fiber network management firm Weezie to accelerate its global fiber network deployment.

The Japanese vendor will be embedding Weezie’s Fiber software platform into its network offering for an automated and scalable end-to-end alternative to manual design processes. Symphony said this would enable operators to reduce time-to-market and operational complexity across their fiber infrastructure lifecycles.

Founded in 2018, Weezie is headquartered in Porto, Portugal. The firm’s automation and digitalization platform integrates planning, execution, monitoring, and management workflows, with customers including France’s TDF and ERT Technologies, and Britain’s Byon Solutions.

Rakuten Symphony recently announced a partnership with India's Lightstorm Telecom Connectivity to deliver a sovereign network-as-a-service (NaaS) platform for enterprises. The collaboration integrated Lightstorm’s Polarin NaaS platform with Rakuten Symphony’s cloud-native orchestration and infrastructure stack with an offering aimed at telecom operators and cloud providers across India, the Middle East, Africa, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
