RackBank added it will deploy its in-house Varuna liquid immersion cooling technology and rear door heat exchangers throughout the facility and will aim for a PUE of between 1.1 to 1.3.

The facility will also be designed to offer flexible rack density options between 50kW and 150kW, with scalability to accommodate Nvidia’s upcoming GPU architecture, said RackBank.

Further specifications of the facility have not yet been shared. The facility will reportedly be operational by Q4 this year, with full capacity being reached in Q3 2025.

"Our strategic location in central India is a game-changer," said Narendra Sen, founder & CEO of RackBank. "With India's massive digital user base and exponential data growth, this facility is uniquely positioned to become a global AI training powerhouse while delivering lightning-fast inference capabilities across the nation."

The first foundation stone was laid on October 23 by Dr. Mohan Yadav, honorable chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.

The Government of Madhya Pradesh has welcomed data center investment in recent years. RackBank’s facility is one of five to benefit from the state’s investment policy which provides operators with state-issued subsidies and incentives.

Sanjay Dubey, additional chief secretary of IT, science, and technology for the Government of Madhya Pradesh, added: “We are proud to support RackBank in establishing this cutting-edge AI data center in Madhya Pradesh. This initiative aligns perfectly with our vision to make our state a hub for technological innovation and will contribute significantly to India’s digital infrastructure.”

India’s RackBank Datacenters provides data center infrastructure, cloud computing, and AI services across its five facilities. Its Chennai facility is the only one currently in operation, with the projects in Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida, and Kochi still under construction.

According to Datacenter Map, there is currently only one other operator in the Indore region; Dinclix GroundWorks.
