US data center provider QTS has added two officers to its executive team, both with many years of experience working for the world’s biggest IT vendors: IBM and HP.
Dan Bennewitz, QTS’ new COO of sales and marketing, comes to work for the data center company straight after 30 years at IBM. His most recent role at IBM was VP of sales.
“I’m excited to join the QTS team and help align the sales and marketing teams to enhance the focus on consultative selling, particularly with QTS’ emerging cloud services capabilities,” Bennewitz said. “For such a young company, QTS has achieved a great deal.”
Jim Reinhart, whom QTS took on to fill the role of COO of development and operations was most recently employed by the insurance company Genworth, where he served as chief strategy and marketing officer. Prior to Genworth, however, Reinhart has been a manager at HP and lead marketing and procurement at Capital One.
“QTS has developed a remarkable portfolio that can meet almost any data center or cloud services requirement,” Reinhart said. “I look forward to working with the company’s development, engineering, service delivery and operations teams to maximize the capability of the current assets and create new ones that add value to QTS customers.”
QTS CEO Chad Williams said proper leadership was critical, as the company was getting ready to build on growth it had achieved so far. Both Bennewitz and Reinhart were good leaders with wide-ranging experience and value systems that would support this growth, he said.
