So psyched to be here

Psych’s release doesn’t name Global Switch, but the information on its site makes it clear it is taking space in the Global Switch data centers. The London East site meets Tier III standards and offers 705,000 sq ft of gross space, and a 132kV utility supply with twofold redundancy and N+2 backup on cooling systems.

The Amsterdam facility, which is due to undergo a 300,000 sq ft extension, currently provides 436,000 sq ft of gross space and it too meets Tier III standards. It has a 50kV utility supply and N+1 redundant cooling. Both facilities are carrier neutral, offer 100 Gbps capacity, physical security infrastructure and round the clock facility management.

Clients can rent single servers or rather a quarter, half or whole rack at a time alongside the company’s managed colocation services and network protocols such as VRRP, BGP and GRE Tunnel.

Psychz will offer its own, private content delivery network and free use of Anycast, allowing for more efficient service of local clients. Further, Psychz states that its dedicated DDoS servers in both facilities offer upwards of 500Gbps mitigation capacity.

Psychz launched in 2001 as a shared hosting company, and in 2014 bought its own data center in Los Angeles. The company runs its dedicated servers and DDoS mitigation services from California but also Ashburn, Massachusetts and Dallas.
