PRIMUS Telecommunications Canada Inc, a leader in facilities-based voice, data, e-commerce, web hosting, VOIP and Internet services utilizing ADSL2+ technology, today announced the opening of its first Internet Data Centre (IDC) facility in Vancouver.
The new facility brings to three the number of Internet data centres owned and operated by PRIMUS Canada. With the expansion of its business services in the Lower Mainland, PRIMUS Business Services is able to provide small, medium, and large enterprises expertise to manage and colocate IT infrastructure and mission-critical business applications. PRIMUS Business Services offers security services, managed server administration, managed operating system/application patching, data backup, remote monitoring and business continuity services. Additionally, PRIMUS' cost effective and outstanding service enjoyed by customers at the Ottawa and Toronto facilities will extend to the new Vancouver facility.
The "class A" facility features a first in the Lower Mainland colocation market with its earthquake proof cabinets situated on base-isolation platforms that counteract the damaging effects of the shocks and tremors associated with earthquakes.
