Having selected High Point, North Carolina as the site of its distribution center, Polo Ralph Lauren has indicated that it is considering the city to house its global data center.
The High Point Economic Development Corp is evaluating an incentive package worth up to US$240,000 to entice the facility to the region.
According to the Corporation, the data center could contribute more than $13.7 million to the city tax base. The facility will handle all of the company's technical support and help desk activities.
Polo Ralph Lauren is expected to make a final decision by mid-July.
