Peak 10, Inc., the largest independent data center operator and managed services company in the eastern US, has announced the acquisition of bayMountain, a Richmond, Virginia-based data center company that specializes in managed hosting and colocation services. The acquisition expands Peak 10's geographic presence and enhances the company's technical capabilities and service offerings, especially with regard to security, disaster recovery and business continuity. Peak 10 now owns and operates ten data centers in seven key market locations and boasts one of the industry's most diverse product and managed services portfolio.

The company has expertise in complex server clusters, Microsoft Exchange, Linux, wide area networks for geographically dispersed operations, high speed data backup and virtualization.
bayMountain has a first-class data center and highly experienced systems engineers, which has allowed the company to dramatically improve the uptime, security and performance of its customer's critical IT infrastructure.
