Organisations form the first UK Datacentre Networking Group and announce "Building Frameworks for Better Communication event to kick-off free quarterly gatherings
London, England February 9, 2006 - DatacenterDynamics, a leading global knowledge exchange for professionals involved in the design, construction and management of data centres, has announced the formation of the UK Datacentre Networking Group in conjunction with two of the UK's leading industry associations, the BIFM (British Institute for Facilities Management) and BSRIA (the Building Services Research Information Association).
This new collaboration is driven by the need for guidance and standardised practices as the industry moves into a period of renewed growth. It aims to foster a closer relationship and increased understanding of common problems between the various stakeholders with an interest in modern datacom facilities, as well as acting as a focal point for the evolution of best practice in the UK industry.
Quarterly events are planned to accelerate the process as leading data centre professionals are brought together to share knowledge. The first gathering of the group, under the title "Building Frameworks for Better Communication, is scheduled to take place on February 15th at the Brewery, Chiswell Street, London. It will seek to introduce a number of stakeholders and their perspectives on designing and operating mission critical facilities. The dates of further meetings which are planned over the course of 2006, will be published in due course.
