Oracle has expanded its multicloud offerings with Google and Microsoft.

Known as Oracle Database@Google Cloud and Oracle Database@Azure respectively, Big Red has added new regions and capabilities to the offerings.

The Google offering is now available in eight Google Cloud regions across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, with the newest additions being in Melbourne, Australia; Montreal, Canada; and Iowa, the US.

To improve disaster recovery, the company has also expanded capacity at the Ashburn, Virginia, and London, UK, regions.

In April 2025, Oracle said it would be bringing 11 new regions to the Google offering. The company is now saying that it will bring nine regions online in the next 12 months, including in Mexico, Australia, Japan, India, Italy, Canada, and Brazil.

In addition to the new regions, the Oracle Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure is now generally available with Oracle Database@Google Cloud, as well as Autonomous AI Lakehouse.

The general availability of new Oracle AI Database services like Oracle Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure and Oracle Base Database Service also provides flexible new ways for customers to leverage Oracle and Google Cloud technologies, like Gemini, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.”

The Oracle Database@Google Cloud offering became generally available in September 2024. The solution sees Oracle hardware deployed within Google data centers.

Autonomous AI Lakehouse

Meanwhile, the Microsoft-Oracle offering - Oracle Database@Azure, has also added new database and Autonomous AI Lakehouse services, and is now available in 28 Microsoft regions globally.

The solution is currently available in the Australia East, Australia Southeast, Brazil South, Canada Central, Canada East, Central India, Central US, East US, East US 2, France Central, Germany North, Germany West Central, Italy North, Japan East, Japan West, North Europe, Southeast Asia, South Central US, Spain Central, Sweden Central, Switzerland North, UAE Central, UAE North, UK South, UK West, West US, West US 2, and West US 3 Azure regions, and will add a further five locations in the next 12 months in Brazil, France, the US, India, and West Europe.

Plans for the Oracle Database@Azure offering were first shared in September 2023, with the location launching in the Azure East US region in Virginia in December 2023. The offering was expanded earlier this year to add the Exadata database-optimized servers and Real Application Clusters.
