American hybrid IT provider OneNeck IT Solutions has appointed industry veteran Terry Swanson as its president and CEO.

Swanson replaces Phil LaForge, who has been leading the company since January 2013.

“This is a change in leadership, not a change in strategy,” Swanson said. “We have a long-term strategic plan and vision for OneNeck. Under my leadership, I will ensure it is carried forward along with the continued delivery of innovative hybrid IT solutions that support our customer’s mission-critical business processes.”

The company owns six data centers and employs around 550 people.

OneNeck is a subsidiary of Telephone and Data Systems (TDS), a telecommunications business with seven million customers. It is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona and operates data centers in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, and Wisconsin.

OneNeck offers cloud solutions, colocation, hosting and managed services, professional services, and IT hardware sales.

Swanson joined the company in 2011 as senior vice president of the Solutions Providers business, having previously worked for IBM, 3com and CDW.

“Terry has vast experience and exposure in a wide-range of vertical markets with leading technology companies,” said Dave Wittwer, president and CEO of TDS Telecom. “It’s precisely why he’s been appointed president and CEO. He has the critical insights necessary to move OneNeck forward and facilitate their ongoing, rapid growth.

“Under his leadership, the company will continue to delight customers and deliver the right solutions in accordance with the highest ethical standards and principles.”
