Virtual Power Systems aims to change attitudes towards power distribution

In this report, DCD’s Peter Judge talks about the potential benefits of rack-mounted Li-ion UPS with Ankush Dham, vice president of Business Development and Sales at Virtual Power Systems.

The company was established in 2012 to apply techniques like analytics and machine-learning to server power management.

The VPS platform consists of software and hardware – the VPS ICE console is accompanied by a 2U Li-ion battery with three hot-swappable modules, capable of supplying 12kW for up to 6 minutes of emergency power.

The meeting took place at the OCP Summit 2016 in San Jose, California, that concluded last month.
