NextFort Ventures Chandler has launched its 130,000 sq ft data center in Chandler, Arizona, using its unique modular data center design.
The company offers space in complete self-contained environments. They are concrete and steel rooms designed to house up to 20 high-density IT racks for a total IT load up to 225kW.
The company has room to add 50,000 sq ft at the site for additional suites in the future.
Mark Towfiq, CEO of NextFort, said, “Enormous increases in demand for data storage and computing, created in part by the burgeoning use of mobile devices, cloud computing and social media, is fueling interest in flexible and more cost efficient alternatives to conventional data center and hosting services.
“NextFort's unique and innovative design offers a simpler and more predictable cost model and is a new option for organizations with increasingly elastic strategies for managing data center capacity and is ideal for today's modern computing requirements such as cloud computing and disaster recovery.”
One of the first customers is M9 Systems, a managed services provider from southern California. Arash Touski, M9 president and CEO, said, “NextFort is at the forefront of an entirely new way of thinking about modular flexibility and portable data center infrastructure.
“Their innovative approach to high density and free air cooling is translating to enterprise-class performance at a much more competitive rate.”
