Hudson Interxchange has secured a new customer at its data center at 60 Hudson Street in New York City.
Cordiant Digital Infrastructure, an investor and operator of digital infrastructure, announced the signing of a new customer contract for the data center this week.
Along with an expansion order from an existing customer, the company expects these contracts, once fully deployed, to bring Hudson much closer to breakeven.
Hudson’s new customer contract is with a provider of high-density GPU cloud computing infrastructure for AI workloads, which means it is likely one of the neocloud providers.
The deal covers a five-year period and totals 1.8MW of capacity, with right of first refusal over a further 2MW. The contracted space is located in Hudson’s facility at 60 Hudson Street, which is considered the most interconnected commercial facility in New York, hosting more than 300 carriers.
The contract is expected to commence in September 2026 on an initial 450kW deployment of high-density racks.
The pre-sold capacity requires Hudson to complete construction of the last two halls on its sixth floor, which has 3.5MW leaseable capacity, of which 900kW has been previously contracted. With the new contract and expansion order, total contracted IT capacity on the sixth floor will be approximately 2.8MW, or about 80 percent of saleable capacity.
Atul Roy, interim CEO of Hudson and head of telecoms strategy at Cordiant Digital Infrastructure Management, said: “This contract win is an important milestone for Hudson. It validates our strategy of investing in high-density capacity at 60 Hudson Street, the most interconnected commercial building in New York, to serve rapidly growing demand for AI and high-performance computing. With billing commencing in September and full deployment expected by December, this agreement, together with continued expansion from our existing customers, brings Hudson significantly closer to breakeven and lays the foundation for the next phase of the company’s growth.”
Hudson Interxchange was founded in 2011 and formerly called DataGryd Data Centers. When acquired by Cordiant Digital Infrastructure in 2022, it was renamed under the Hudson moniker.
The data center provider has access to approximately 290,000 sq ft (26,940 sqm) of space across four floors of 60 Hudson Street. It owns its own power infrastructure in the building with a direct feed providing access to 15MW.
