ADC has announced the introduction of the TrueNet cabinet enclosure range, a complete portfolio of server and cross-connect cabinets and wall enclosures that provide superior management and protection for sensitive network cables.
The new ADC KRONE TrueNet enclosure range is designed to help prevent cable damage within the cabinet. Special cable guides are built into the cabinets and racks to ensure that cables are bend-radius managed and cannot come into contact with sharp or angular edges, even in high-density environments. The range's integrated cable management also includes jumper rings every 3U on both sides of the cabinet/rack front face, offering additional protection.
"Conventional server and cross-connect cabinets have many potential pinch-points where heavy network cables, particularly at 10Gigabits/Category 6A, frequently force the lower cables against the cabinet metalwork. This can significantly affect cable impedance, leading to signal reflections that cause Ethernet re-transmissions and data-rate slowdown, said Andrew Roberts, product manager for ADC KRONE. "When located at the bottom of a cable pile, these damaged permanent links are very difficult to detect and costly to replace. Our innovative TrueNet cabinets and enclosures are engineered to help prevent these problems and maximize datacenter uptime.
ADC KRONE's TrueNet enclosure range portfolio includes:
Server cabinets in 42U and 47U heights with 64% perforated front and rear doors for cooling airflow;
Standard or cross-connect cabling cabinets with a shorter option of 27U, 42U and 47U variants. These have 6mm toughened glass front doors and steel rear doors;
Wall enclosures in heights of 6U, 9U and 15U, again with a toughened glass front door;
Floor standing cabinets and racks in a variety of footprints including 800x800mm, 600x1000mm and 800x1000mm with 19 inch front and rear profiles. They are made from 2mm sheet steel and come to site completely assembled and on transport castors to make movement to a location simple. Three-point locking mechanisms are standard.
The standard finish for the TrueNet enclosures range is black powder coat to RAL9005.
