Equipped with a compact air/water heat exchanger, the new Varistar LHX 20 cabinet from Schroff provides a cooling capacity of up to 20kW, which is significantly in excess of the 8-to-10kW typically achieved by air-cooled cabinets.
Particularly suitable for server applications and AdvancedTCA systems, the new cabinet has been designed to handle the increasing amounts of heat generated by today's high-performance electronic systems.
The heat exchanger in the Varistar LHX 20 cabinet has a closed air circuit with a capacity of 1000 to 3000m3/h and is capable of operating in ambient temperatures between 5 and 70┬║C and relative humidities from 5-to-95%.
Installed in the side of the cabinet, the heat exchanger ensures even cooling of all components installed throughout the entire assembly height. The water supply and power are fed in from the base of the cabinet, and an integrated droplet eliminator is included to prevent condensation. The cabinet also features a variety of interfaces for monitoring and control signals.
Available in two versions with maximum loading capacities of either 400kg or 800kg, the Varistar LHX 20 cabinet provides IP55 environmental protection and is finished in RAL 7021 black grey. In addition to its wide range of cabinets, subracks, cases and backplanes, Schroff also offers a comprehensive system integration service that enables customers to reduce overheads and product development times by outsourcing some or all of their design and manufacturing activities.
