IT product and service distributor Ingram Micro announced opening of new partner training and demonstration labs for EMC and VMware products in Buffalo, N.Y.

EMC Velocity2 Solution Center is housed within an Ingram facility. It will provide space and resources for demonstrations and in-depth technical training in EMC's back-up, recovery and archiving solutions and VMware virtualization technology in real-world environments.

Business development resources and on-site lab time will be provided to EMC's partners and its existing and prospective clients, according to an Ingram Micro statement. Demonstrations will also be provided remotely, through a VPN client.

Ingram Micro will use employees within its ITS Division to provide demonstrations and training.

"The Velocity2 Solution Center provides Ingram Micro's ITS Division partner network with the necessary tools to demonstrate how they can combine their strong domain knowledge of EMC information infrastructure and VMware virtualization with their value-added services to enable customers to enjoy these critical IT efficiencies," EMC's VP of Americas Channel Sales Greg Ambulos said.
