Financial market data and trading infrastructure services firm MarketPrizm setup ultra-low latency data services at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s (HKEx) Hosting Data Centre.

Like stock exchange operaters such as NYSE and Tokyo, HKEx has established a colo business from its own data center.

MarketPrizm runs a platform that it aligned with the launch of HKEx’s Orion Central Gateway (OCG) and Orion Market Data (OMD), which it said gives participants faster access to their trading platform and market data services.

By co-locating within HKEx’s HDC, sell and buy-side clients, located in Hong Kong and globally, can access MarketPrizm’s “DMA” solutions, including PrizmData – low latency market data in raw and normalised format, as well as managed infrastructure and integration.

It says it offers clients faster access to HKEx market data systems for the cash and derivatives markets and low latency international market data services, when they are located at the HDC via direct cross connect and low latency network connectivity provided by MarketPrizm.

In the past two years, MarketPrizm has also set up mutualised co-location environments at the Australian Securities Exchange, Chi-X Australia, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Osaka Securities Exchange, SBI Japannext, Chi-X Japan and Singapore Exchange, as well as other proximity sites.
