Managed hosting provider 20i has signed an agreement to lease capacity at an Equinix data center in Singapore.

The specific Equinix data center has not been named, but 20i noted that it is powered by 100 percent renewable energy.

20i providers hosting services, including reseller hosting, managed WordPress hosting, and cloud servers - including 20icloud, AWS, and GCP. It utilizes "autoscaling" and load balancing across its infrastructure, enabling it to handle peak loads.

The company says its services are optimized for customers in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, as well as Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, and Australia.

Lloyd Cobb, director at 20i, commented: “The launch of our Singapore data center is a major milestone in our mission to deliver world-class hosting experiences globally. We’re incredibly excited to bring our most advanced, high-performance hosting platform to Asia, giving customers across the APAC region local access to a resilient, ultra-fast hosting platform."

Equinix currently operates five data centers in Singapore, spread across three campuses. It is currently developing a sixth facility, having broken ground in November 2024.

In August 2025, the colo provider secured S$650 million (US$505.3m) in green bonds in Singapore, to be used to "further advance the company's longstanding commitment to sustainability leadership and reducing its environmental impact globally.” Later that year, it signed a 20-year 10MW virtual Power Purchase Agreement (vPPA) with Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) in Singapore. This is the third such in the country.

According to 20i's website, the company has data center space or CDN nodes located in the US, Canada, the Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Finland, the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Sweden, Poland, Switzerland, Taiwan, India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Bahrain, Israel, the UAE, Chile, Brazil, and South Africa.
