Intermedia has announced it has passed the SAS 70 auditing process. A standard achieved by few hosting providers, Intermedia is now SAS 70 certified across the entire organization, demonstrating its commitment to quality business processes and management.

The company is now the only major hosted Exchange provider to be both SAS 70 and PCI compliant, which is required by Visa, MasterCard and other major credit card networks for any company handling credit card transactions.
"Intermedia is proud to be one of the few in our industry to provide this level of assurance to our customers," said Serguei Sofinski, Intermedia CEO. "Any company looking to outsource Exchange -- a mission critical business application -- should value SAS 70 compliance as an important indicator of high-quality and secure business processes.

Widely recognized as a mark of service quality, a SAS 70 audit shows that a service organization has been through an in-depth audit of their control activities, including information technology processes. The audit was completed by DuPont & Morgan, LLP, a leading independent certified public accounting firm which specializes in SAS 70 compliance audits.
Unlike many Exchange hosting providers who misleadingly advertise 'SAS 70 certification' based only on the fact that their outsourced datacenter provider was certified, Intermedia has been certified at the entire organizational level. This demonstrates not just quality data center processes but also careful customer data storage and general business management.
Following SAS 70 certification, all Intermedia customers may now have access to a description of the company's controls and an independent assessment of whether the controls were placed in operation, suitably designed, and operate effectively.
