Ocean Intelligent Communications and London data center provider City Lifeline have entered into a partnership to provide joint managed IT services.
Customers currently operating IT infrastructure from City Lifeline's Clifton Street facility now have access to a “dedicated” team of IT engineers from Ocean.
Ocean said its engineers will be on hand 24/7 either remotely or via the City Lifeline site to respond to any queries and will help save its customer’s headcount costs.
Ocean’s group sales director Jason Osmond said the company wanted to build a rapport with its customers and help them deliver on IT strategies.
“We are able to provide ad-hoc, break-fix support as required, but in our experience companies using an offsite data center want complete confidence that their servers and network communications are being constantly monitored and that any issues are dealt with swiftly, often before the client even realises there is a problem,” Osmond said.
City Lifeline’s managing director Roger Keenan said the partnership would offer a complete package to clients.
“Together with Ocean we can be an extension of our customers’ IT teams, providing support for their total IT and network infrastructure, not just the data center,” Keenan said.
