The London Stock Exchange Group is opening its doors for trading firms and solution providers that want to bring their own cabinets into its hosting facility to offer services to members even though they don't partake in trading.
The move will broaden the services offered by the London Stock Exchange Hosting service, which started in September last year, it said.
According to London Stock Exchange Group CIO Antoine Shagoury, the addition of non trading customers will brining further diversification to the services offered at LSX.
"Our ever expanding community of trading customers will directly benefit from this vendor diversification and the innovative, value added services and products these new non-trading participants will bring to our co-location environment," Shagoury said.
One of the key draw cards of the LSX Hosting Service is its low latency, offering access to high frequency algorithmic trading in the microsecond to any of the LSX Group's markets.
Now non-trading clients can join others which have situated servers in the LSX data center space to offer a new range of services aimed at this market.
Candidates will include those wanting to distribute market data to high-frequency traders, those wanting to install and facilitate a trading participants hosting solution for a fully managed end-to-end service and those wanting to provide connectivity to trading services for Member Firms.
