Lisi Automotive, a French manufacturer of fasteners and assembly components for the automotive industry has consolidated four on-premise data centers into two TelecityGroup facilities in France.

The company's entire IT infrastructure now runs out of Telecity's Condorcet and Victor Hugo data centers, located in Paris and in its suburbs respectively, in an active-active configuration.

Lisi Automotive sells things like screws, nuts, washers and breaking and hydraulic systems for car and equipment manufacturers. It is a subsidiary of the Lisi Group, which also sells similar components to aerospace and medical device makers.

The company's infrastructure was previously housed in two suites at its headquarters in Territoire de Belfort, France, and at two subsidiary facilities in Spain and Germany. The consolidation started with moving equipment from Spain and Germany to the French campus and continued with moving everything to the two Telehouse facilities.

Didier Parent, a manager at Lisi Automotive, said the data center provider assisted with the move. “We really appreciate the consultative and proactive approach of the people we’ve dealt with at TelecityGroup,” he said in a statement.

The move started in March 2013, and the infrastructure has been live at Telecity data centers for about six months. Lisi has not seen a single electrical or mechanical issue in this time span.

“Six months on from deployment, we have not suffered a single cooling or power incident,” Parent said. “That is an important point for us after the two technical incidents we had to deal with in Delle [the headquarters site] in 2012.”
