Liberty Global has this week announced an agreement to sell UPC Slovakia to O2 Slovakia, an affiliate of e&PPF Telecom, for approximately €95 million ($110 million).

It's the latest sale announced by Liberty Global, which is pushing to streamline its operations in Europe.

UPC Slovakia is a provider of TV, broadband, and telephony services in Slovakia. The company currently serves more than 600,000 households in the country.

Liberty Global noted that the transaction value is around seven times UPC Slovakia’s estimated 2025 adjusted EBITDA.

The deal will require regulatory approval, with no date provided for expected completion.

Earlier this year, Liberty Global chief executive, Mike Fries, said the business is looking to spin out "one or more" of its subsidiaries over the next two years as part of a restructuring.

Last year, the company completed the spin-off of Swiss telco Sunrise.

Liberty Global also sold its five percent stake in Vodafone earlier this year. The company acquired the 4.92 percent stake in 2023.

The company operates a number of European telcos, including its UK JV Virgin Media, Dutch telco VodafoneZiggo, and Belgium's Telenet.

e& PPF Telecom previously acquired United Group's fixed and broadcast units in Serbia earlier this year for a combined €1.5 billion ($1.76bn).
