Dark fiber network provider Lexent Metro Connect, deployed a dark fiber optical network for Telx linking Telx facilities at 60 Hudson Street and 111 8th Avenue in Manhattan to offer an added layer of redundancy to large banks and media firms.

The network supports the Telx Metro Cross Connect service that provides TDM and Ethernet connectivity at various speeds between Telx's New York area colocation facilities.

The network is provider is targeting large banks and media firms who make up most of Telx colocation customers with the added layer of redundancy and reliability.
