Korea Telecom (kt.co.kr) will build a new data center at Mok-dong in Seoul, South Korea, according to a report by The Korea Herald.

The company, which operates 13 other data center facilities, says the facility will have 12 above-ground floors and three basement floors, totaling 61,380 square meters.

Korea Telecom says the facility will be the largest data center in Asia. It will serve large enterprise customers, offering disaster recovery and copyright management, and will also function as an educational center.

The facility is scheduled for completion in April 2008.
