Global real estate firm JLL has launched an energy advisory and sustainability practice to expand its offerings in the sustainability and energy markets.

Josephine Tucker will lead the new team, providing energy-focused services to real estate investors, commercial clients, and public sector clients.

It will offer end-to-end services, including energy sourcing, efficiency, and technology integration, such as EV charging and microgrids.

Tucker joined JLL in 2022 and has held the positions of global head of sustainable infrastructure and managing director of clean energy and infrastructure. Before JLL, she spent eight years at Deloitte across its financial advisory team.

“Market demand for clean energy and infrastructure is at an all-time high,” Tucker said. “More companies are seeking to reduce their carbon footprint, while power demand grows from sectors like data centers and the electrification of infrastructure. JLL can play a huge role in servicing these energy needs and reducing emissions.”

JLL has several interests in the data center market. In May, the firm acquired New York-based data center service provider SKAE Power Solutions. The companies said the acquisition will allow JLL to provide services across the full data center lifecycle and add technical depth to its existing offerings.

Following this, in October, the firm received approval to develop a data center at the Science, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP) site in Alabama, New York. JLL's Project Hydroscale will see the development of a 45-acre campus with two 450,000 sq ft (41,806 sqm) two-story data centers.
