Liquid cooling firm JetCool has released a new coolant distribution unit (CDU).

The SmartSense CDU is available as both an in-rack and modular unit.

JetCool says the units each have capacity of up to 300kW. The system is scalable up to 2.1MW in row-level configurations.

Rob Campbell, Flex’s president of communications, enterprise, and cloud, said: “By combining JetCool’s liquid cooling technologies with Flex’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and services, we’re enabling customers to address heat challenges while accelerating the deployment of data center infrastructure at scale.”

The company specialises in ‘microconvective cooling technology,’ which means that cooling jets route fluid directly at the surface of a chip instead of passing fluid over it.

JetCool’s portfolio also consists of air cooling solutions and cold plates.

It is owned by American electronics manufacturing services and original design manufacturer Flex. The acquisition was made in November 2024. Terms of the deal were not announced.
