Softbank Corporation has announced it will securitize the assets at the data center it is building in Tokyo's Koto Ward so that the Internet conglomerate can pay off about 20 billion yen (US$161.9 million) in construction costs without increasing liabilities.
The data center for subsidiary Softbank Telecom Corporation is slated for completion in April 2008. It will house the data processing operations of large corporations and serve as a base to develop information systems for clients.
