Isothermal Systems Research Inc. (ISR), a manufacturer of cooling devices for computer systems, has raised US$10 million in new venture capital as it shifts its customer focus from the military to commercial data centers, according to a report in Seattle's Pugent Sound Business Journal.
The company has also announced a series of redundancies and the consideration of selling its Silicon Valley office. According to the paper, the company is keen tap into the commercial data center market, particulary with technology companies that are building data centers, or server farms, to support Web-based services.
"We've taken a fresh look at the market landscape and our strategy for approaching those markets, and as a result we're shifting to be much more focused on our commercial data center target market," Jeff Severs, chief executive officer and president, director, is quoted as saying.
