Interxion, the leading provider of premium carrier-neutral data center and managed services in Europe, today announced that it has secured a long term lease to build out an additional 4,200 sqm of net sellable space at a new AMS 5 site in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Upon delivery, Interxion total net customer data center space in the Netherlands will be over 8,500 square meters.
Interxion AMS 5 data center in Amsterdam will be built to meet the most demanding customer requirements with 2N power redundancy, most advanced power distribution, cooling, alarm and monitoring systems. Interxion is investing in high power density and availability to ensure AMS 5 data center customers are able to deploy both standard and high power density solutions. Interxion plans to have the first phase of the new facility ready for customers by mid-2008.
