Interxion, European carrier-neutral data center provider, has connected Geo's 1-10 gigabit Ethernet network to its London city data center.
The addition of Geo's dedicated fibre optic network adds to the data centre's existing portfolio of 26 carriers. In addition, Geo customers will now be able to locate their mission-critical systems in one of the most desirable colocation facilities in the UK.
In April this year Interxion added approximately 1,250 m of equipped space to its London City data centre, one of its 23 carrier-neutral data centres in 13 cities across 11 European countries. The data centre can provide 2kW of power per m2 with N+1 redundancy and free air-cooling as standard, as well as the latest alarm and monitoring systems.
Geo's fibre network runs deep through the sewer system in London, offering greater security and eliminating potential downtime caused by upgrades and routine work.
Geo's UK network is the newest legacy-free national duct and optical fibre network in the country, covering 3,000km and connecting all the major commercial centres. www.interxion.com
