At the turn of 2009 the Datacenter Confidence Index returned to positive territory and data from recent events held on the West Coast of the United States indicates the continuation of this direction.

The Datacenter Confidence Index represents an overall measure of the confidence that the datacenter industry holds with regard to the coming 12 months. The Index is based on a number of factors, including levels of unprompted concern expressed about emerging threats to operations and conversely opportunities to improve operations, attitudes to emerging trends (such as regulation, power, costs, automation and control, efficiency, performance), trends in investment and technology and solutions uptake.
