Indian renewable firm Waaree Renewable Technologies has formed Aurovault Data Centers Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary to develop and operate data centers in India and internationally.
Waaree Green Data Centers, a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Renewable Technologies, will hold a 100 percent stake in the company.
Aurovault said its aims include establishing, developing, designing, financing, constructing, owning, leasing, operating, and commercializing data centers, including hyperscale, AI-ready, and edge facilities, disaster recovery centers, cloud infrastructure, digital infrastructure parks, and colocation facilities, in India and abroad. Planned services include colocation, managed hosting, cloud connectivity, internet exchange, and network services.
The company has yet to commence business operations and has not yet recorded turnover.
It is the second data center subsidiary Waaree has formed this month alone. Earlier this month, it incorporated Sunstar Data Centers Private Limited.
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Mumbai, Waaree Renewable Technologies operates as a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited and is part of the Waaree Group, spearheading the group's solar EPC business. Waaree Group was established in 1990 and rebranded in 2007 as a solar manufacturer, and is now one of the largest solar manufacturers in India, with a manufacturing capacity of 13.3GW in India and 3.2GW in the USA.
