The partnership is part of Hypertec's AI Cloud expansion plan.

"This partnership enables us to provide our clients with a staggering combined data center capacity of more than 600MW in 2025 at unparalleled deployment times while delivering superior cluster performance, reliability, and environmental responsibility," said Jonathan Ahdoot, president of Hypertec Cloud. "Together with Potentia, we're setting new standards for AI Cloud efficiency and scalability."

"Our data centers are built to meet the rigorous demands of AI technology, and this collaboration will enable Hypertec Cloud to support the next generation of AI applications with resilience and efficiency," said Rich McCrea, CEO of Potentia.

Potentia's data centers will use direct-to-chip and immersion cooling, and waste heat will be repurposed for greenhouses and nearby industrial processes. The company is set to officially launch on January 21.

According to Potentia's website, the company will have campuses spanning a total of more than 700 acres and 7GW of contract power by 2029.

The website adds that in 2025, Potentia will have a data center campus in Indiana offering 150MW. Whether this is currently operational is unclear. DCD has contacted Potentia for more information. Planned markets include New York, Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Ontario, and Virginia.

Potentia lists the likes of Schneider Electric, JLL, Submer, Quanta, and Solvenz among its other partners.

Hypertec Cloud originated in 1984, at the time, as an IT systems and system manufacturing business. The company launched Hypertec Cloud in 2021 following the acquisition of Cloud.co.
