Data center infrastructure solutions provider Lee Technologies said on Thursday that Hosted Solutions hired it to redesign and build out the managed services and colocation provider's data center serving the Charlotte, N.C., metro area. The contract was valued at $7 million and Lee is due to finish the project by November.

Lee will expand the existing 10,000-square-foot Charlotte Metro facility by additional 5,000 square feet, increase its power capacity and build a new mechanical infrastructure. The contractor said the new design has already freed up 400-500 square feet of space in the facility.

Hosted Solutions operates five data centers on the East Coast of the U.S. It has one more facility in the Charlotte area. Its other data centers are in Raleigh, N.C., Cary, N.C., and Boston, Mass.
