Custom-designed data center developer and operator fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547) and global satellite communications facility Hawaii Pacific Teleport have rebranded their joint data center project, Hawaii Pacific Data, to AlohaNAP.

The new name and brand have been designed to better symbolize the open, welcoming, network-neutral model the companies have for the new facility.

AlohaNAP is set to launch in July and has nearly a quarter of its capacity pre-sold.

It will initially redevelop an existing 10,800 sq ft hardened telecom facility to provide over 200 customer cabinets in a secure, redundant environment.

The partnership claims AlohaNAP is one of the only multi-tenant, carrier-neutral facilities with satellite and subsea fiber backup capabilities in the world.

1547 and AlohaNAP’s partner Todd Raymond said the rebranding signifies the company’s commitment to providing a welcome environment for the interconnection of international networks and to the islands and people of Hawaii.

“We’re meeting all of our build-out milestones on our way to creating a premier ‘meet-me’ point for trans-Pacific communications traffic and a strategic mid-Pacific Tier 3+ datacenter campus,” Raymond said.
