A new project by a Berlin-based art group realities:united and BIG Architects is doing what governments around the world have failed to so far ÔÇô highlighting the reality of carbon emissions by quantifying exactly what a tonne of carbon dioxide is worth. 

Instead of using monitory quantities, however, the group plans to alter emissions from a waste-to-energy plant in Copenhagen so that carbon emissions can be seen clearly in one-tonne blocks in the sky. 

The installation, called Big Vortex, will be created by accentuating the flue gas at the facility, creating a revolving gas cloud in the shape of smoke rings.

We thought, given the growing interest in carbon emissions by the data center industry, you would like to see what the predicted outcome will be, and what, exactly, a tonne of carbon could look like.
