The transaction was closed on September 16 for a fee of $3.9 million paid by US Digital Mining Mississippi LLC.

In August, Greenidge’s deal to sell a 152-acre data center site in Spartanburg, South Carolina, fell through after proposed purchaser, Data Journey, pulled out of the arrangement.

Greenidge initially purchased the property in 2021 for $15m. In 2023, it sold 23 subdivided acres and its 44MW cryptocurrency mining facilities to NYDIG for $28m.

At the same time, Greenidge sold another 7.5MW site in Mississippi, and also purchased a separate 37-acre plot of land in Mississippi that was expected to produce 44MW of “low-cost” power by July 2026.

Greenidge currently lists four mining sites on its website, located in New York, South Carolina, North Dakota, and Mississippi.
