Google is opting to run its Saint-Ghislain data center in Belgium without water chillers and plans to use free cooling all year round.

The company said that if it gets hot it will shut the servers and move operations to other facilities, the firm told DatacenterKnowledge.

Although it operates its data centers are around the 80o mark when outside temperatures get too high Google says it will turn off equipment as needed in Belgium and shift computing load to other data centers.
