Google Fiber confirmed it's working with ALLO Fiber to build its network in Bellevue, which is the third-largest city in Nebraska, with a population of 63,000. The project is currently in the planning process.

Founded in 2003, ALLO Fiber provides communications services to 38 cities across Nebraska, Colorado, and Arizona.

"The City of Bellevue is committed to bringing better Internet to their residents, and GFiber is looking forward to being a part of that connected future," said Andy Simpson, general manager, Central Region, Google Fiber.

"We’re excited to be working with an innovative, like-minded local company to make it happen. We’ll continue to look for new ways to deliver quality Internet services to communities ever more rapidly."

Google Fiber also operates in a number of other states including Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas/Missouri, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

In February, Google Fiber launched its 5 Gig fiber service across certain US markets, first launching in Kansas City, West Des Moines, and all Utah cities. Google Fiber said the service will be expanded to other cities across the US later this year.

Google Fiber officially launched in 2010, but the service first went live in Kansas City in 2012.
