Last Mile Connections (LMC), a premier bandwidth exchange and solution provider for Last Mile Connectivity, announces today the introduction of the Mini Data Center's (MDC) offering.
The MDC provides a cost effective and secure resource for customers requiring private data centers without incurring the cost of construction and maintenance. The centers, available in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington DC, Atlanta and Miami, offer a total of more than 30,000 ft┬▓ of turnkey data center space.
The MDC consists of highly secure and customized facilities to house mission critical computer systems and associated components. It is available with a minimum of 100ft┬▓ and up to 8,000ft┬▓ in the same location. LMC ensures high security, safe environmental controls (including air conditioning and fire suppression) and redundant, backup power supplies. As an additional benefit, LMC offers a limited supply of racks and cabinets at no extra cost.
Unlike traditional colocation offerings, The MDC space is fully-tailored to the customer's need, including "connectivity on demand", which allows customer access to current MDC network providers, such as AT&T;, AboveNet, Comcast, Verizon and XO, to name a few. The MDC offers clients zero recurring costs to connect the client within the facility, as customers perform their own connections, upon LMC approval. The MDC facilities are particularly suitable for enterprises who require network equipment outsourcing or disaster recovery solutions, colocation providers and web hosting providers who need to expand their footprints at reasonable costs in key markets; and new market players who require fast-provisioned data centers to be operated and controlled by their own staff.
"At Last Mile Connections, we believe the MDC answers the market needs for high-quality, built out facilities at competitive prices with rapid time-to-market," states Ron LeMay, the Chief Executive Officer and President of Last Mile Connections. "Instead of investing in customer-built facilities, MDC customers can now manage their own data center connections with the peace of mind of being in a secure and cost-effective LMC environment."
