Q9 Networks Inc. has announced that GMAC Residential Funding of Canada, Ltd. has moved its datacenter to a Q9 facility in a comprehensive outsourcing deal.
GMAC Residential Funding of Canada, Ltd. is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of GMAC ResCap (Residential Capital, LLC), a leading real estate finance company.
Under the terms of the deal, Q9 is providing GMAC Residential Funding of Canada, Ltd. with secure and redundant physical infrastructure in one of its high-security datacenters, as well as managed bandwidth and 7x24 monitoring, to ensure the highest levels of performance and reliability for all of its IT systems. "Our systems are mission-critical and support more than 800 external brokers and more than 350 internal employees across different time zones," said Tracie Tesser, Senior Vice President, Operations, GMAC Residential Funding of Canada, Ltd. "We outgrew our datacenter and determined the cost to build a new facility would have been prohibitively expensive. As a result, we decided to outsource. Q9, with its ability to deliver a comprehensive solution, its exceptional responsiveness and its reputation for excellence in datacenter infrastructure management, was best able to meet our requirements."
Q9 designs, builds and operates its datacenters to meet the most demanding IT infrastructure requirements, including the increased power and cooling demands of today's high density computing devices.
"We are delighted to be adding GMAC Residential Funding to our extensive list of leading financial services organizations," said Osama Arafat, CEO, Q9 Networks. "GMAC is a forward-thinking organization that understands the value of outsourcing IT infrastructure in order to focus on core competencies."
