BT Group chief executive for Germany Karsten Lereuth broke the news in an interview with Euro am Sonntag.
The news follows an announcement earlier in April by financial services company KPMG which said it plans to build one data center in Frankfurt to house operations currently run in 30 European data centers.
It has already started migrating operations from its 30 European data centers into the one its Frankfurt data center, which said will be used to run services off a private cloud.
EMC, VMware and T-systems is working with KPMG on the consolidation project.
